We depart from Athens early in the morning and drive to the north of the country. We arrive to Kalabaka, where is our main destination, Meteora, the largest and most precipitously built complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece.

The breathtaking landscape combined with the historical and spiritual context of the area. Admire ageless Monasteries containing historical and religious treasures. We will have the opportunity to visit 2 or 3 of these monasteries that will be open to the public.

During the tour you will have a chance to have a lunch at a traditional tavern of Kalabaka or Kastraki village.

On the way, we will make a stop at Thermopylae, where one of the most memorable battles of all times took place. 300 Spartan warriors led by King Leonidas battled against the Persian army of Xerxes. Here the statue of Leonidas was erected as a symbol of his bravery.

Finally, we drive back to Athens.

The duration of the tour is about 10-12 hours.
